Our partners in the Castile and León Network of Digital Innovation Centers are organizing the Burgos Industry 4.0 2026 Technology Summit (#6Burgosi40), which will take place on October 14 and 15, 2026, in collaboration with DIGIS3 EDIH at the Forum Evolución Convention Center in Burgos.
Now in its sixth edition, the event will once again bring together companies, startups, technology centers, and innovative organizations for a new edition focused on the key technologies for the transition to Industry 5.0.
As part of the event, DIHBU has launched a call for proposals to select the technology demonstrators that will be part of the Industry 4.0 Expo, an exhibition space where companies can showcase their solutions in real-world operation to a primarily industrial audience.
The call for proposals will remain open until July 1, 2026, and will offer the chance to secure one of the 40 free booths available to technology entities of any size and origin within the EU.
The organization will evaluate factors such as the level of innovation, technological maturity, and potential impact of the solutions submitted, giving priority to those that have already been developed and tested and can be demonstrated using physical prototypes. It will also assess their alignment with sustainability criteria and the involvement of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The 2026 edition will focus on strategic technologies related to Industry 5.0, including:
- Artificial intelligence applied to industrial processes
- Generative AI and virtual agents
- Human-robot interaction
- Industrial cybersecurity
- Quantum simulation applied to process optimization
- Improving working conditions in automated environments
In addition to the exhibition area, the event will feature technical sessions, networking opportunities, and technology matchmaking, as well as a new dedicated space aimed at promoting investment in innovative startups.
