DINGOMA, interoperability in the forestry sector
DINGOMA manufactures forestry machinery, specializing in small, compact machines and self-loading machines. They wanted to monitor them remotely, and, to achieve this, they joined forces with our partner CTIC Technology Center within the framework of AsDIH.
WHAT PROBLEMS ARE THEY LOOKING TO SOLVE OR IMPROVE?
Dingoma’s forestry machinery often operates in environments where there is little or no coverage. This meant that every time there was a breakdown or a possible incident, they had to go to the forest with a mechanic, detect the problem there, and solve it.
WHAT DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IS USED TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM?
CTIC Technology Center designed a processing flow that converts data into something understandable and, combined with Dingoma’s expert knowledge, allows them to understand how their machines operate and how to identify problems.
WHAT RESULTS DOES IT PROVIDE AND WHAT IMPACT DOES IT HAVE?
In this way, the company can see where the machine is, how many hours it has been in use, how much downtime there is, and the incidents it experiences.
