Quesería Rey Silo and Electrónica Edimar, PADIH grants through AsDIH

Thanks to the PADIH programme, and the collaboration in Asturias of the Asturias Digital Innovation Hub (AsDIH), companies such as Electrónica Edimar can learn about and apply the latest digital technologies to their day-to-day processes. In this case, Electrónica Edimar uses a hyperspectral vision camera to monitor stuffed peppers frozen inside an opaque container in order to know how many peppers are in each container.

Or the Rey Silo cheese factory, which, using optical sensors based on near-infrared (NIR) technology, is able to monitor the quality parameters of raw and whole cow’s milk in real time and to know the fat/protein ratio in a simple and immediate way. This data is key to ensuring that the milk is in the best condition to be made into cheese.

Our partner ASINCAR offered both companies its advisory services, testing the technological solutions to see their viability before investing, developing new products and processes through their integration, training in their use and even help in obtaining financing. The result is that ASINCAR acted as an external R&D&I department for the companies.

We recommend you read this report in La Nueva España and find out more about the PADIH programme of grants for your company, which is still open for applications.

The PADIH programme

The Support Programme for Digital Innovation Hubs (PADIH) provides grants of up to 30,000 euros for companies that need to move forward by implementing cutting-edge digital technologies that will enable them to improve their competitiveness within their productive sector.

These grants are managed through the EOI and finance tailor-made services of advice, testing, experimentation and training provided by entities belonging to the EDIHs, digital innovation centres spread throughout Spain.

PADIH is an initiative launched by the Ministry of Industry and Tourism within the framework of the Spanish Government’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and is funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU Fund.
