Last week, AsDIH held an interregional meeting with INNDIH, our counterpart in the Valencian Community, which served to share experiences and open up new avenues for collaboration
“We want companies and SMEs to see EDIH as an opportunity.” Under this premise, last week we held the Interregional Meeting between AsDIH and INNDIH, which allowed us to exchange experiences, accompanied by representatives of organisations from both autonomous communities, such as the Sekuens Agency, Idonial, CTIC, CEEI, the University of Oviedo, FADE, FEMETALiNDUSTRY, Cluster TIC Asturias, the Business Confederation of the Valencian Community, the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), the ITI Technology Institute, FEMEVAL (Valencian Metalworking Business Federation) and the Association of Textile Entrepreneurs of the Valencian Community.
“The economies of the Valencian Community and Asturias are entirely unique”
All these entities took advantage of these two days to discuss the activities they carried out within the framework of AsDIH and INNDIH and to delve into the challenges and opportunities they face in their day-to-day work, which are entirely unique in each region because “the economies of the Valencian Community and Asturias are extremely diverse.”
Each has its particularities, although there are always points in common, as was demonstrated in the training and networking workshops we organized. In these, we identified collaborations between the two entities of the European Digital Innovation Hubs Network related to the holding of joint courses and events.
CTIC and Idonial showed us the projects they have underway
After analyzing possible collaborations, we visited the facilities of the CTIC Technology Center, where we discovered some of the projects they have underway.
Something similar happened on the second and final day of the meeting, which was held at Idonial’s headquarters in Avilés. There we learned about the value of Manzana del Acero and discovered some services provided, within the framework of AsDIH, to companies such as Icube.
Elena Fernández Blanco, Head of Business Development at the company, explained the details of a project they carried out to tackle “human subjectivity.”
Both EDIH reaffirmed the support of the European Commission
Digitalisation is essential for industry in our region, and both EDIH will continue to work to promote it in the period 2026-2028, after reaffirming the support of the European Commission.
